It is an endoscopic management for bladder stones. Stones are crushed with a lithotrite, breaking it into smaller pieces, which are subsequently washed out. Care should be taken not to injure the bladder mucosa while crushing the stone. In larger stones either open cystolithotomy or percutaneous cystolithotomy is indicated.
Ureterocele is an Congenital disorder. Distal Ureter swells and develops a pouch. It may obstruct urine flow. Symptoms: Pain - flank to groin, genitals or abdominal. UTI, painful urination, increased frequency and urgency, foul smelling urine, blood in urine, urinary incontinence and rarely abdominal mass. Treatment is endoscopic surgical removal.
